The 9x41 is by far the most popular and versatile length in the range of conventional grain augers. Whilst it is able to carry out all the tasks of a 9x31 it has the added ability of being able to fill small to medium size silos. Silo specifications are all a little different according to the various manufacturers and whether the silos are transported fully assembled onto site or if partially assembled on site. So, as a guide the 9x41 will fill silos of 30t to 60t capacity. At a maximum lift of 26’ 8” and intake end clearance under silo base of 11’ 4”, the 9x41 is well configured for the key tasks at planting , harvest or if feeding stock as well as filling silos. The drive options available include Petrol Motor, Hydraulic Drive (driven from tractor hydraulic remotes), PTO (driven from power take off of tractor)  and Three Phase Electric. The most popular option is petrol motor. When set up with a 20hp motor, fuel and battery for the electric start, there is about 50 kilograms to 60 kilograms of weight at the intake end of the auger. An Assist Wheels option is available to attach, which picks the intake end of the auger off the ground for easy manoeuvrability, attaching of hopper, coupling to tow vehicle and upending of grain auger for easy access to chain and sprockets at the discharge end.
